Hello! My name is Cristian, and I am a recent Master’s graduate in Computer Science from EPFL (École Polytechnique Fédérale de Lausanne), one of Europe's leading science and technology universities, in Switzerland. I have a strong academic background in Mathematics, Computer Science, and Science. I graduated from a highly selective high school in Greece with a final grade of 19.8/20 and later completed both my Bachelor's and Master's degrees at EPFL. Throughout my studies, I developed extensive knowledge of algebra, calculus, geometry, probability, statistics, and logical problem-solving. I also participated in Greece's National Informatics Competition, qualifying for a preparatory camp for the International Olympiad in Informatics. Beyond academics, I have professional experience in software engineering and research, including a year at Logitech in Switzerland. My work involved solving complex problems, collaborating with international teams, and presenting technical concepts clearly to different audiences. **What I can offer as a tutor:** I am particularly interested in teaching Mathematics, Physics, Computer Science, and programming to primary and secondary school students. I can also provide English-language academic support, as I have C2-level English proficiency. My approach focuses on helping students genuinely understand concepts rather than simply memorizing formulas. I believe in breaking down difficult topics into manageable steps, adapting explanations to each student's learning pace, and encouraging independent thinking. I am patient, approachable, and enthusiastic about making challenging subjects easier and more enjoyable. I speak English fluently, alongside native Greek and Romanian, and conversational French. Having studied and worked in an international environment, I am comfortable communicating with students from different cultural backgrounds. I am currently based in Causeway Bay, Hong Kong, and am looking for part-time tutoring opportunities, either in person or online. I am currently studying BBA (Hons) Accounting and Finance at The Hong Kong Polytechnic University. I recently completed the International Baccalaureate Diploma Programme and achieved a score of 38/45, including 7/7 in Mathematics and 6/7 in Computer Science. My Higher Level subjects were Business Management, Computer Science and English B. Having recently completed the IB myself, I understand the challenges students face with coursework, revision and examinations. Although I do not have formal tutoring experience, I have regularly helped classmates and younger students with questions, explained difficult concepts, and shared study methods and notes. As a recent IB graduate, I can provide practical revision techniques, study resources and exam strategies based on my own experience. I aim to explain concepts clearly and patiently, helping students understand the reasoning behind questions rather than simply memorising answers.
