Hi, I’m Dhruv, a final-year student at HKUST. My aim is to help students understand what they’re learning. My teaching style focuses on making complex ideas feel simple and approachable. I will guide students in breaking down challenging topics into clear, manageable steps and help them establish a mental framework to approach similar problems confidently in the future. When students are unsure about a process or concept, I walk them through it step by step, explaining not just how to solve it but why each step matters. This approach helps them not only to understand how the process is to be completed but also the reasoning behind why we should take that step towards achieving the desired goal.

Hello! I am currently based in Hong Kong as I approach my last semester at the University of British Columbia; I will be graduating with a Bachelor in Fine Arts in the Theatre and Film Acting program, with a minor in psychology. I grew up bilingually and was taught Mandarin in school. Before moving to Canada, I went to Victoria Shanghai Academy and graduated with an IB diploma. I have worked as a TA at Kid’s Gallery teaching Musical theatre, Communication Arts (Speech and Debate) and Visual Arts. I am currently a TA at Twinkle Dance Company, I have been working since 2021 on and off; giving me a handful of experience with children from the age of 2-15.
